Cosa fare con il Parmigiano Grattugiato

What to do with Grated Parmesan

Do you have leftover grated Parmesan and don't know how to use it?
From Caseificio San Simone, here are 3 simple and tasty ideas to not waste even a crumb of our precious cheese.

Seasoning pasta with grated Parmesan

Parmesan in pasta is a timeless classic that makes even a simple plain pasta special.

But you can go beyond just a sprinkle of grated Parmesan on your steaming first course.

If you have a basil plant at home, you can prepare an excellent garlic-free pesto that will still be rich and flavorful.
Feeling particularly inspired and eager to get your hands dirty? Try making fresh pasta and enriching the filling with Parmesan.
If, however, you prefer something simpler but still tasty, you can prepare a Parmesan cream in which to dip tortellini (already prepared!).

“Sandy” potatoes

As if by magic, potatoes are delicious in any recipe. Fried, baked, mashed, or in gnocchi dough, the queen of tubers continues to inspire us in the kitchen, and very often saves us in a pinch.
Today we offer you roasted potatoes with a sandy appearance, given by breadcrumbs mixed with Grated Parmigiano Reggiano.

Add your favorite spices to the breading and bake at 200°. For extra crispiness, leave the skin on and cook at high temperature for the last 5-10 minutes.

For home chefs who have one, we highly recommend an air fryer.

Parmigiano Reggiano for gratinating dishes

Again, the combination of breadcrumbs and Parmesan makes our gourmand taste buds tingle.
Gratinating consists of forming a delicious crust on top of food, usually those cooked in the oven.

It's a process that goes well with many dishes, from vegetables to more complex dishes like eggplant parmesan.

The secret to perfect gratin is to move the baking tray to the top rack of the oven during the last few minutes of cooking.
