Whether it's a mid-morning snack or a mid-afternoon treat, a large percentage of people, both adults and children, prefer savory over sweet. There are many possibilities, and something for everyone. Today, we want to share with you our top three easy and quick savory snack recipes: if you try making any of them, please send us a photo and write to us! We are very curious to see you at work and read your impressions!
Parmesan and Pears
The first suggestion doesn't require any special preparation, and moreover, it's a very healthy and balanced snack, especially great for children who need a lot of energy during their super active days.
- Flake 40 grams of Parmigiano Reggiano with a cheese cutter.
- Wash a pear and cut it into chunks.
- Place everything on a plate or in a small bowl.
- If you like, add a drizzle of wildflower honey for an extra touch of sweetness.
Parmesan will provide calcium and protein, while pear will provide fructose and vitamins; they are an excellent combination because together they provide a large amount of energy immediately usable by the body.
Delicious Pinwheels
Our second suggestion is savory pinwheels with tomato and mozzarella: a truly simple preparation, for an extra tasty result.

- Mix tomato passata with a pinch of salt, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, and some oregano.
- Finely chop the mozzarella.
- Roll out the puff pastry and fill it with the tomato sauce and chopped mozzarella, keeping away from the edges.
- Roll up the dough and make sure to seal it well at the ends so that the filling doesn't escape during cooking.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about twenty minutes.
- Remove from the oven, let rest for about ten minutes, and cut the roll to create thin pinwheels.
Cooked Ham and Parmesan Sticks
This last preparation is slightly more involved, but absolutely nothing too complicated, you'll see!
- In a bowl, mix 250g of flour, 2 eggs, 5g of instant yeast, 30ml of milk, a pinch of salt, and a grind of pepper until everything is combined.
- Add 200g of grated Parmigiano Reggiano and 200g of chopped cooked ham and knead by hand.
- Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 5mm.
- Cut into strips approximately 8/10 centimeters long.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the strips spaced out, rolling them up on themselves.
- Brush with a little milk.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about fifteen minutes.
- Serve cold.
